When the unit is used outdoors and is set to "Archery" mode, it may detect projectiles way beyond 3 feet. This may be misleading because the accuracy diminishes with the height.  For example, you may measure the velocity of paintball or arrow 8 feet above the sensors. This is a low cost unit and the specified accuracy is only true for  the projectiles below 6 inches. Your unit may be accurate at 3 feet and above, however we do not guarantee it.  In the future we will provide units that will be accurate at those heights. However, the cost will be much higher.
